Phase II Tobacco Board Counsel to Attend Tobacco Meetings

McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe LLP Available for Phase II Questions

RICHMOND (January 13, 2000) - Representatives from McGuire, Woods, Battle and Boothe LLP, legal counsel to the Virginia Tobacco Trust Certification Board Inc., will attend three tobacco industry meetings in January and February. The representatives will be on hand during the meetings to answer questions from Virginia's tobacco producers and quota owners regarding the Phase II application process.

Representatives will attend the following meetings:

2000 Area Flue-Cured Tobacco Meeting - Thursday, January 20, 2000, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Southern Piedmont Research Center

2000 Area Flue-Cured Tobacco Meeting - Thursday, January 27, 2000, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chatham High School

Virginia Tobacco Conference and Trade Show - Saturday, February 12, 2000, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Halifax County High School
